Vanessa Vallely becomes Pearly Queen

We just wanted to say congratulations to Funny Women Charity Challenger Vanessa Vallely, who will be crowned Pearly Queen of the City of London this weekend at the Carpenters Arms in Bethnal Green. In an interview with The Evening Standard this week, Vanessa talks about her grandfather George Hitchen, who held the position of Pearly King for the City of London for 60 years.

“I remember tap dancing with him in pubs and working men’s clubs from the age of three.”

 So that’s where her performing genes come from!
