2. One must celebrate: Never in your life will you beg and dream and hope to be seen, reviewed and revered. A compulsion to be judged will overcome you, body and soul. Despite the Olympian feat of actually staging a show on the same night as the opening ceremony of the London Olympics is being televised worldwide, Friday night’s semi-final at the Leicester Square Theatre was sold out two days ahead!
To add to our sense of wellbeing, the other show booked into the large auditorium that night cancelled so we were moved in and sold a few more tickets too! A slightly more daunting prospect for the contestants as this is where we hold the final on 24th September, but it was interesting to see who rose to the occasion of performing on a bigger stage.

There are many reasons as to why our upcoming visit to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe is set to be extremely special. It is our 8th annual visit to the Fringe, we have so many fantastic shows in store for you and whilst we are there we will be celebrating Funny Women's 10th Anniversary! What with Olympics nearly here, Becky Brunning (Funny Women Semi-finalist 2012) would like to share a mockumentary inspired by her Olympic great grandfather.
A documentary crew follow aspiring 'genetic' gymnast, Becky Brunning, in her quest to win Silver at London 2012, 100 years after her great grandfather won Bronze in Stockholm 1912.

We're Hosting a FREE Comedy Workshop

With the Fringe just around the corner, preparations for the festival have suddenly kicked into a higher gear and the excitement is building rapidly. We have so many fantastic shows and events on offer this year that is hard to keep track of when everything is happening. However, amongst our semi-final shows, presenting lara A king’s first Edinburgh run and our fantastic daily performances from some outstanding female comics, we have one more treat for you to devour!
